Default Whats the point with Eye of the North?

Since you can only play it at level 20 and they did not raise the max level so you can't level up or gain exp which would mean your pretty much maxed out on skills, and attribute points.

So what is in it for the player other than exploring new areas? Are their new armors like FoW that you have to grind special areas for mats to obtain? Are their new weapons and armor with better stats than in any other Guild Wars expansion?

Exploring new areas is fine but there is not much replay ability for people to do so unless there is something to be gained in doing so. Take WOW raids for example, (no I am not a delusional WOW fan) not many would go on the same raid twice if there were not armor and weapons to be had that were better than anything else before it. In fact very few would go in Fow more than a few times if it were not for the special mat drops.

So in Eye of the North what is in it for us?

Well, you already pointed it all out. It's just that some of us LIKE all that and even see it as the whole point of the game

New content for level 20 characters
Bridge to GW2
New loot
New exploration
New heroes
The Hall of Monuments
New skills
Advanced graphics engine
etc.

What's the point of any expansion? More of a good thing!

You CAN gain exp.

A lot of people are maxed out on level and attribute points before leaving Kaeineng city, or Istan, does that make the rest of the game pointless? Obviously not.

There will be lots of things that GW:EN can offer players, just as buying additional campaigns could in the past.

People will play to have fun, to experience the storyline, to gain new items and armours (which there is a lot of information stating the existence of), to gain new titles, to kill new enemies, to gain new heroes, to do other random things,...etc.......

If none of those things or the other things which I haven't mentioned don't excite you then you'd probably be wasting your money.

It just seems to me like Anet has hit a wall with Eye of the North, new skills that will not do any more than what we have just differently. Armor and weapons that re the same as what we have in prophecies they just look different, likely even the same enemies with different skins.

We will play the expansion all the way through and really not be better off than someone in in NightFall because Guild Wars has maxed it self out. The fact is you really can't become any better, stronger or any more powerful than you could in prophecies because the way the game is designed won't allow it.

If your primary motivation for doing something is carrots and sticks Guild Wars is not the game for you.
